Series A Seminar Content

1. “It was meant to be!”

How often have you heard these words?  Or said them yourself?

Here are some further ideas that are commonly held:

  •  I create my own life.
  •  I manifest what I want/need in my life.
  •  I attract to me whatever happens in my life.

From a YHP point of view, these are all, at best, half truths, and sometimes even just plain wrong. What is worse, they can get in the way of your peace, happiness and fulfilment.

In other words, beliefs about “what was meant to be”, “creating”, “manifesting” and “attracting” can function as blocks to your progress on your journey, as well as misleading others about what can be helpful for them.

In this graduate seminar, we look at how the YHP Model of the Mind helps us understand that what really matters, and indeed is the only thing that matters, is whether you choose to be in your Wrong Mind or in your Right Mind.  Once you understand this, and choose your Right Mind, you will always make the right decision and whatever happens will be truly helpful for you yourself and others in your life.

Discover not only how distinctive the YHP approach is, but also how much more powerful it can be.

2. How to know what to do with your life.

Purpose is everything. If you are not consciously clear about what you want, where you are going, and with whom you are going, your unconscious mind will determine it for you, and you will most likely act on limiting and even self-destructive patterns.

In this seminar we see how the Model of the Mind enables you to understand yourself at the level of life purpose and how to approach decisions about what to do.

We typically think that some decisions are important, and others less important, or even insignificant. YHP challenges this: There are no insignificant decisions!

What’s more, our usual ways of determining what is important can often – and do – lead us astray.

Only Right-Mindedness can lead to right decisions.

3. How to use APS to empower your life, day-by-day, every day.

One of the central ideas of the Model of the Mind is how the Decision Maker becomes an Internal Observer.

The first experience of this is the Belief Change Process, where we look at Wrong-Minded beliefs and replace them with Right-Minded beliefs.

At first you learn how to do this with a partner, using kinesiological testing.

In daily life, although you can get together with a partner from time to time, this is not practical for daily living.

In YHP 123 you learned some basic skills for self-observation and self-inquiry. In this seminar you will learn how to peacefully observe what you are thinking, feeling and doing without identifying with these – in other words, with non-attachment.

This is a crucial step in empowerment for your personal and spiritual growth.

Moreover, this is how you translate the purposes and decisions of seminar 2 into daily life.

SERIES B SEMINAR CONTENT

In the 2011 Master Class we introduced a new APS process – “Nip it in the bud!”

This technique enables you to identify the trigger situation and associated beliefs before you experience the problem – and the pain – that would be triggered, whether it be an accident, a problem with another person, a physical or emotional symptom, and so on.

Think about it: if our YHP model is correct, where behaviour and consequences follow from beliefs, then why not identify the problematic beliefs before they issue into painful consequences? The Basic Belief Change Process, which is learned in our basic YHP 123 course, enables you to identify the problematic belief after the damage has been done. This is good, and should prevent the pattern from recurring, but why not go one better, and prevent the pattern from being activated, and not experience the pain?

To become proficient in this technique requires considerable practice. If you attended the 2011 Master Class, you have made a good start. However, there is much more you can learn to deepen your understanding of this technique:

  • How to train your mind to spot triggers;
  • How to know whether you have adequately dealt with a trigger once spotted;
  • How your triggers are linked to your Wrong Mind default – your “Push comes to Shove”;
  • How “Nip it in the bud!” leads to even more profound and powerful forms of self inquiry, internal observation that will enable you to be much more helpful to others in your life.

And, as always, mastery comes with practice, practice, practice! So these two seminars will be structured so that the period in between can be used for some really accelerated learning, which will be consolidated in the second seminar.

If you did not attend the 2011 Master Class, don’t miss this opportunity to learn the technique. It will make your life much more peaceful and your learning faster and more productive.

The first “Nip it in the bud!” seminar will initiate you into a practice schedule, including take-home exercises to be done between the first and second seminar. The second seminar will draw out the lessons from the experience gained through the homework, refine your practice schedule so that you can go forward nipping your problems in the bud and reap the benefits.

The Secrets of Your Psyche: Getting Your Selves Together

In 2011 this course will be available online. There will also be opportunities
to attend one or two workshops later in the year.

  • Ever felt that you have not just one “self” but two, or even several?
That sometimes they are not working well together?
  • You will learn how to resolve these internal conflicts and smoothly
blend different parts of your personality.

We are all aware of different roles, different parts, of ourselves. We are parents, children, partners, as well as friends and maybe foes. Each of us may have different “characters”, like healer, prankster or “life of the party”. These are the parts we consciously present to the world.

Your hidden potential includes parts of yourself of which you might be unaware, in your unconscious, your “shadow side”. These can play out in healthy or unhealthy ways. In this course you become aware of the strengths and weaknesses of this shadow side, and how to capitalise on your strengths.

The key to a happy and fulfilling life is to integrate all these parts of yourself.

Master Class

Designed for APS Practitioners who want to take their skills to a much higher level,
the Master Class includes intensive practical work and numerous demonstrations
by Dr James Walker of advanced applications of APS techniques.

Trainers Training

There is an opportunity for advanced students to take part in coaching and presenting in our courses. It is also possible for you to adapt our material to specific audiences and clienteles with whom you might be working professionally as a trainer, coach or consultant, and to enter into a licencing arrangement with us. The relevance of this trainers training is not restricted to training people in YHP. It will be helpful to increase your training skills whatever the field in which you work.

Certification

For those who would like certification of their competence in the YHP work, and the APS process in particular, this is available at two levels:

Practitioner Certification

Successful completion of YHP 123, a written exam and a case study of independent work, all to be completed in the same year.

Master Practitioner Certification

Prequisite: Practitioner Certification

Successful completion of Master Class, and a supervised case study of independent work, all to be completed in the same year.

This is the highest quality, most enjoyable and relevant course I have ever done. I gained insight into myself, my relationships with others and my interaction with the world and my life. Support and acceptance of where I am currently in my learning.

Forensic Psychologist

I felt I was in a totally safe environment to explore my own dungeons and was very “there” for others doing the same. What I learned in that exploration was profound. I feel my confidence increasing. I had numerous epiphanies throughout the course, both in deeper understanding of areas already visited as well as totally new territories altogether. I feel more grounded, calmer and more trusting, as if my vision is a little wider than it was before, deeper, wider and from a higher perspective. I enjoy the wisdom being presented in a lighthearted manner.

Enlightening. This gives me a perspective of my life past, present and future and a path to follow in order to negotiate the hurdles and move toward a fulfilling life.

Exceptional! Gradual introduction to the process and broken down into easily digestible parts. Realising where I get stuck; becoming aware I am a decision maker and watching my “movie” play out. Knowing I have a choice. It was so great to clear the blocks and be aware of what to look out for in the future.
